However, Duffer Brother explaining about their planning for the 4th Season. They said in an interview in 2017 that they will end up the story within the four sequels/seasons. Therefore, it means that the upcoming season may be the last sequel of the series.
On the other hand, Shan Levy who is the producer saying that by keeping in mind the ratings of the show and the Netflix streaming, we may throw one more season after the release of this season. Therefore, this statement leading towards another hope.
