		Merchant St. This short downtown street has been the location of several filming locations on the street itself, as well as Marin Lane (O'Toole's), 16 Merchant Square, Walter Murray Gibson building, Fort St. Mall at Merchant, Murphy's Bar and Grill, Cassis, and the old City Bank building.

Snow in Hawai'i? or is it Germany?

This is Merchant St. between Fort St. Mall and Bishop St., looking Ewa (West). The ocean is to the left. The Stangenwald Building (Google Maps) is the light orange-brown one with flag poles on the left. Completed in 1901, this six story structure was the tallest building in Honolulu for over 60 years!

Michael's vintage Dodge Aspen is parked in front of the Bishop Bank Building (Google Maps), just across the street from Kumu Kahua Theatre.

The historic Melchers Building (51 Merchant St.) is at center, to the right of the Bishop Bank Buidling. Built in 1854, it is the oldest commercial building in the downtown area.

The view in the Diamondhead (East) direction down Merchant St. from the car's starting point. The darker Bishop Estate and Bank building is at the far right edge. The NY skyscrapers in the far background have been digitally added in post-production.
