January 8, 2007 Happy New Year
The Lost film crew is said to be officially off holiday vacation and begins work today. If you happen upon any filming locations you'd like to report, please submit them. Following our "no-spoiler policy", as always we will not post the new locations until after the episode is eventually broadcast.

December 21 Thrusday Update:
Today we've posted the first batch from our huge Dec 4 trip through Ka'a'awa Valley (Kualoa Ranch) with Kos Hummer Tours. We also have other updates:

Our new Kualoa (Ka'a'awa Valley) pages:
Hurley's Golf Course, the Pneumatic Tube Dump, Hurley's Rope Bridge, and "Radio Hill" from the Pilot episode. More locations from this valley are coming, as well as Virtual-Reality panoramas. The valley is absolutely huge, and located on private Kualoa Ranch property, so nailing these exact locations was a bonanza of locations for us! We never could have done it without Ed Kos' tour.

New pages: Times Supermarket, Honolulu Memorial Park, Manoa Falls Trail (Claire's discovery of the medical station).

Updated pages with new matches: Manoa Banyan Tree (Charlie's almost-hanging), and we finally got exact matches over at the WWII-era bunkers at Diamondhead Crater used for numerous Sayid flashbacks.

Coming soon: Michael's waterfall where he shouts "Waaaalt!" And no, it's not Manoa Falls silly, that's too far for Lost's production crew trucks to get to. All those waterfalls at the end of each valley look nearly identical, but we have matched exact rock formations for this one! Thank you to one of our anonymous contributors for this one!

We wanted to get the photos up ASAP, and will be filling in the directions and details in the coming weeks.

December 12 Update: We are slowly working through posting our photos from our Dec 4 locations hunting expedition.

Today we have posted one new location, Waiahole Beach Park, which we've ID'd as a jungle location in Episode 3x05 The Cost of Living. While you're there, you also have a great view of Waikane Pier, which doubled as the DHARMA Initiative's Pala Ferry pier.

We've also just totally overhauled the Moli'i Fishpond page, now known as the Moli'i Gardens page. We have now positively identified the dock used for Jin's flashback in Episode 1x17 ...In Translation. We had missed the exact dock before because of decorative handrails applied to the dock for the filming of You, Me, and Dupree.

However we've also found two more locations in the Kualoa Ranch-owned Moli'i Gardens. Eko's Nigerian bar from Episode 2x10 The 23rd Psalm. Hardly anyone has noticed, but if you look at the episode closely, the bar is named Cantina Brukutu, and that sign still exists on the structure. Also, the red ginger garden in Episode 3x05 The Cost of Living, where Eko meets his brother Yemi in his final vision, is also located within the extensive gardens of this property. Check it out!

The folks working over at the Macadamia Farm Outlet are amazingly nice, and they have a great tour package that is inexpensive and full of activities. You'll get to see the fishpond, flower gardens, and other goodies. Any Lost fan shouldn't hesitate to go visit!

We've added some minor updates by adding photos from the day of Lost's filming for the locations: St. Clement's Church and the Judd Trail in Nu'uanu.

Stay tuned because we have our huge Ka'a'awa Valley update coming, as well as Quicktime Virtual Reality panoramas for most of these locations this month!

December 9: Update:

As you can see above, Naveen Andrews' autograph session at the Honolulu Marathon Expo provided an excuse to visit the Hawaii Convention Center, but afterwards we went upstairs and finally got interior photos of the convention center's Meeting Room #328, aka Christian Shephard's abandoned Australian hotel room from Episode 1x05, White Rabbit!

We also recently added a new location, St. Clement's Church in Makiki, and site of Kate's wedding (and a few other scenes) in the recent airing of Episode 3x05 I Do.

Stay tuned: because we have an absolutely monstrous update coming soon, the bountiful fruits of a field trip we took with KOS Hummer Tours, as well as some locations-hunting we did on the side.

November 21: Tuesday Update:
We aren't waiting for Thursday! We just posted some great new content. First, we've finally tracked down the Banyan Tree that Ethan Rom hanged Charlie from back in Season 1. Other Lost location hunters have sweated, going up and down the Manoa Falls Trail due to a rumor the tree was there and came up dry. No wonder-- it is not on the trail! It is very nearby though, and we've found it. We've called it our Manoa Banyan page.

We've also posted Quicktime VR panoramas (and new photos) to: First Hawaiian Center, Laniakea YWCA (basketball court), and the Iwilei Lot. Interestingly, at the Iwilei lot we spotted the vehichle props from Jin and Sun's flashback in Episode 3x02 The Glass Ballerina--
Out on the North Shore, we spotted Locke's sweat lodge at Eko's Church at Papa'iloa Beach, and we posted some minor updates to the Paradise Park (Sawyer and Kate's cages) page.

And finally, see our first pictures direct from Otherville, aka Camp Erdman YMCA nestled in the northwestern tip of O'ahu.

November 12: 3x06 Update:
The first list of locations for Episode 6: I Do has been posted. We are still working on confirming a few locations for this episode, and will also be providing more details on the known new locations. Please check back in the next few weeks as we make updates to locations for this episode, as well as for all locations thus far for Season 3 episodes 1-6!

November 9: Thursday Update:
Our update has been delayed. We hope to have the locations for Season 3 Episode 6, "I do" posted live by this weekend.

November 2: Thursday Update: See locations for Episode 5: The Cost of Living. We will be updating pages for new episodes with photographs in the upcoming weeks, so check back often!

October 30: Big Island location: Locke's foray into the polar bear cave two episodes ago in Further Instructions looked too large to be the Hawaii Film Studio. According to this Chicago Tribune article, this scene was filmed in a lava tube on the Big Island, the first Hawaiian location not on O'ahu. Please submit specifics of this location if you know more!

October 26: Thursday Update:
See locations for Episode 4: Every Man for Himself. We will be updating pages for new episodes with photographs in the upcoming weeks, so check back often!

October 19: Thursday Update:
See locations for Episode 3: Further Instructions.

We've also updated locations for Season 1's Episode 14: Special. Thanks to a tip from LVT reader "Annie", we've confirmed that the baby store visited by Michael is the USA Baby in Wahiawa. We also noticed, from matching a banyan tree, that the jungle scenes were from Judd Trail in Nu'uanu valley.

October 16: Earthquake Update: The 6.7 tremblor has come and gone and we're still here. It was a lot like the first five minutes of Season 3's opener A Tale of Two Cities, watching everything fall while standing in the doorframe. Anyways-- we spotted some Lost base camp signs along one of our major thoroughfares today, so fans can be assured that Lost is up and filming on this first day after the quake.

UPDATE: Our thoughts go out to Theresa Wery, owner of the Manoa Valley Inn, a multiple filming location for Lost. Wery had been gracious in allowing Lost Virtual Tour the privilege of photographing some of the private rooms that had been used for filming. The historic inn suffered structural damage and a collapsed stone chimney in the quake. No one was hurt. (Link: KITV)

October 12: Thursday Update:
See locations for Episode 2: The Glass Ballerina.

We've also tracked down the bamboo grove from the Season 1 finale where Jack and Sawyer say farewell; it's at the Byodo-In Temple to the right of the gift shop. We've located the dive pool in California where the underwater scenes with Sawyer and Kate recovering the Halliburton suitcase were filmed, in Whatever the Case May Be-- so if you live near Hawthorne, California, please submit your photos of this facility!

October 4: Season 3 Premieres.
See our locations for a Tale of Two Cities.
We will be updating new episode pages continuously to make them more complete. Check back frequently.

October 2: Sunset on the Beach
Lost Season 3
World Premiere:
See photos of the event. More commentary to accompany the photos is coming.

September 24:
Read about LostVirtualTour in Katherine Nichol's feature article in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin today. The article describes the Season 3 preview this Saturday (September 30) in Waikiki at Sunset on the Beach. If you're in Hawai'i, don't miss it, FREE admission.

September 23:

LOST eBay Charity Auction
Yes, there are other Apollo Candy bars (from the alternate reality tie-in game The Lost Experience) up for auction on eBay, but this auction is unique! First, it's for a good cause, the charity America's Walk for Diabetes. Second, it's been autographed by none other than the Speaker, who as you probably know is the mysterious official "Lost Experience" blogger for ABC. And there's MORE: It's a rare Golden Oracle bar, and Speaker has included a special DVD mix of Lost videos, including a bonus preview of Lost Rhapsody II. You also get autographed letters of support for this auction from The Other GIrl and The Lost Ninja, who are of course the official "Lost Experience" bloggers for the UK and Australian networks, and celebrities in their own right. You ALSO get an autographed CD from Joe Purdy, of his hit single "Wash Away" as heard on the official Lost soundtrack. And last but not least, you get an exclusive high resolution (5 Mpixel) 8x10 frameable photo of the Flight 815 Oceanic Airlines fuselage from yours truly: Lost Virtual Tour. See the auction and bid! Thank you to our good friend PandoraX from Sledgeweb's Lost and Lostpedia to organizing the goodies for this auction!

September 22: Friday Update: Minor updates to Ka'a'awa Valley, Waikane Pier, Byodo-In Temple, He'eia Kea nose piece storage, and the Fisherman's Wharf restaurant.

September 8: Friday Update: New photos from inside Claire's Hotel St. Apartment. Also minor updates to the Iwilei Storage Lot. Also thank you to our good friend (and former Hawaii resident) Cecilia from The Lost Blog, who wrote about us in her September 1 entry.

September 1: Friday Update: New location added, the Iwilei Storage Lot. See also our new photo instructions and VR for the Dillingham Airfield's Fuselage Storage lot.

August 25: Friday Update: S. King St. has some new matching photos. Also China Walls now has more detailed instructions and a VR. By the way we went back again the day after this photo shoot and due to the large swell, the conditions walking on the coast were very deceptive and very dangerous. It seemed safe, but then every several sets, the waves would suddenly rush onto the rocks and sweep out all the walking areas that had looked "just wet," (including the location of the VR the day before) despite the fact that the tide was going down. Please take the cautions seriously, we don't recommend venturing out here. If you do, take wet areas seriously and heed the sets.

August 18: Friday Update: New matching photos, VR, and easy hiking directions for Nuuanu's Judd Memorial Trail. Also we forgot to mention last Friday that we matched an existing location, the restaurant Michel's at the Colony Surf, to a new scene in a different episode, Locke's evening dinner by the bar area in Ep 2x03 Orientation.

August 13: The Lost Ninja: We were recently informed that the official Australian network blogger for The Lost Experience mentioned us in his July 20 blog entry.

August 11 Friday Update: New jungle location, Judd Memorial Trail in Nuuanu. Additionally, first photos and VR for the Queen Emma Ballet as well as updates to Poamoho Camp and the Hawaii Convention Center. We are beginning to fill in Google Maps links for most locations.

August 4 Friday Update:
See new locations: Waiale'e Beach (Kate's bath from the Pilot, and Michael & Sawyer's landfall after their trip on the raft), the Police Beach Palm Grove (Sun's garden), Ala Wai Marine, (Sawyer's harbor marine shop and gun connection), and our new Papa'iloa Beach Miscellaneous page (Jin's fishing with Ana-Lucia and Bernard). We've also pinned down Kate's accident with the Marshal and the black horse to Kaukonahua Rd. near the former Del Monte Pineapple Demonstration Garden. See also our updated photos for Kawailoa Ranch (formerly Meadow Gold), Poamoho Camp, Dillingham Airfield, Waialua Sugar Mill, Lana'i Lookout, and Keali'iokamlu Church.

One of our most unusual finds is the comparison of the temporary structures built by the Lost production crew at Poamoho Camp and Waialua Sugar Mill: in other words, Eko's Nigerian church exterior is very similar to one of the structures in the Australian outback at the residence of healer Isaac of Uluru. See either page for a comparison composite.

Finally, we have some new Quicktime Virtual Reality Panoramas for you at: Pua'ena Pt., Poamoho Camp, Waialua Sugar Mill, Kawela Bay, Waiale'e Beach, and our first three 360 degree panoramas, two at Lana'i Lookout, and one at the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, so update your Quicktime if you haven't already.

August 3: Read about us in Michael Tsai's article in The Honolulu Advertiser.

July 28 Friday Update:

Look for two new locations, from our contributing sleuth HaleiwaDiva. She pointed out the Sullivan Estate in Pupukea, and the Old Meadowgold Dairy Ranch by Laniakea Beach which contains Kate's Time Capsule tree from Ep. 1x22 Born to Run, and is easily viewed from the road. We also have updated photos of Manoa Valley Inn (used to hilarious effect on July 23 by ThEMisFiTiShErE), as well as some for Makua Valley, and some nicer matches for the Mililani Mauka homes and the Kahala Hotel and Resort. And make sure you have the latest update of Quicktime, because we've just added three QTVRs (that's quicktime virtual reality), in the pages for Makua Valley, Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, and Waikane Pier.

July 21 Friday Update:

We've just added new sections on the Ko'olina Marina, home of The Elizabeth, as well as some additional photos on the Makaha/Makua Valley, Lehiwa Ridge homes (Mililani), and Aloha Stadium pages. Mahalo to NctrnlBst of the LOST-n-Found blog at Dharmasecrets for some tips on stadium configuration specifics.

July 18, 2006:
Thanks to Guillaume at Lost-island.net for pointing out a URL confirming the Norwegian location of buildings depicted in the Orientation Films. These buildings are therefore probably intended to depict the Hanso foundation rather than the University of Michigan.

July 2006: We have launched our site! Please stay tuned as we fill in some incomplete locations with our library of photos. Enjoy your visit! |LVT|
