Notes:
This beach lies to the west of Kawela Bay before Hale'iwa. Waiale'e means rippling water. There is also a small island called Kuka'imanini, which means a parade of Manini (a kind of fish). This island is visible in some scenes, but due to the angle it looks instead like a peninsula connected to the beach. The other prominent feature is the rocky shelf along the shoreline.
