St. Francis Medical Center (exterior)

This main Liliha location of St. Francis Medical Center has been used as a Lost filming location. This page lists the exterior locations near the porte-cochère driveway area at the main front entrance leading to the lobby and parking structure.

The interior of the hospital (including the ER, OR, offices, meeting rooms, and halls) has also been filmed for Lost.

The front lobby. The ambulance entrance to the ER is actually around the right corner to the rear of the building, so none would normally be parked in this area.

The lobby convenience shop in the background was closed and had its lights turned out.

The porte-cochere of the hospital (at the entrance of the main Sullivan Wing and parking structure) served as the Lynford Hotel lobby

Note that the Lost production crew has covered the hospital's existing plaque with a sheet of paper reading: Welcome to the Lynford Hotel; Valet & Concierge.

Notes:
The St. Sebastian Hospital offices of Dr. Christian Shephard, as well as the hospital's conference room in 1x11 were filmed in the Dole Cannery Office Building. The OR & ER scenes were filmed in the interior of St. Francis Medical Center.

An interesting tidbit is that Kate's sweetheart's (Dr. Tom Brennan) hospital in Iowa is named "St. Francis Hospital" in the Lost storyline. Scenes for that hospital were filmed at Kahuku Hospital.

In other hospital notes:
     Charlotte Malkin's interrupted autopsy report by the undertaker in Eko's flashback in 2x21 was actually a form from the Queens Medical Center (see image at cubit.net). That scene was filmed at the Manoa Valley Inn. The filming location of the Australian morgue of Jack's flashback in 1x05 is still unidentified, although the morgue in Ana-Lucia's flashback in 2x20 is actually the kitchen of the Hawaii Convention Center.
