Directions:
From Honolulu/Waikiki, enter H1 west, then take H2 North. H2 will end, and keep going straight. After the town ends, ignore the right turn to North Shore/Hale'iwa, and just go straight toward waialua and you will be on Kaukonahua Rd (803). Eventually the road will wind downhill with ironwood trees flanking both sides of the road. At the bottom, go through the yellow blinking light to Farrington Hwy (930). After a half mile there is a traffic circle-- go toward Mokule'ia under the bridge. Continue straight as you see Dillingham Airfield on your left and continue straight until you pass it. (By the way, the last entrance to Dillingham Airfield is the best access point to view the fuselage storage area, and before the end of the Airfield on your left, you will see Army related structures on your right, marking the general area of eastern Mokule'ia that was filmed for the pilot.)
Continue straight until the vegetation on the right ends and the beach meets the road. This point marks the beginning of what we are referring to as "Tiger" or "Post-Pilot" Mokule'ia. Green trash dumpsters will also be visible to the left (see photos). During filming, the roadway is closed and covered with sand. The end of this arbitrary area is marked by the civil defense siren installation. Even further out is the beach beyond Camp Erdman, used for the tail-enders' scenes.
Notes:
Overall, the boundaries of the beach are from where the road meet the sand to where Camp Erdman begins. If you go out from the green dumpsters (about in the middle of the length of the beach) or from the civil defense sirens (towards the Ka'ena end of the beach) you will be right where the wreckage was strewn for post-pilot episodes of Lost.
