Dillingham Ranch

This historic plantation estate and equestrian center has been the site of numerous Lost filming locations, as well as for ER and the feature films 50 First Dates and Windtalkers.

There are absolutely no tourism related activities here. The Ranch offers wedding services, and has a private equestrian operation. You will simply be turned away immediately. Do not disturb.

The home of Kate's biological father, Wayne.


The filming location for Wayne's house is the Ranch manager's residence. Of course it wasn't really destroyed. A model was destroyed for the explosion scene, and high intensity lights were turned on inside the real residence to provide the segue for the FX.

Kate's horse-- a similar horse was also seen in her flashback with the car accident with the Marshal.		 The real horse is stabled at Dillingham Ranch and is named "Pearl". Note that Pearl is not available for public riding.

Directions:
From Honolulu/Waikiki, enter H1 west, then take H2 North. H2 will end, and keep going straight. After the town ends, ignore the right turn to North Shore/Hale'iwa, and just go straight toward waialua and you will be on Kaukonahua Rd (803). Eventually the road will wind downhill with ironwood trees flanking both sides of the road. At the bottom, go through the yellow blinking light to Farrington Hwy (930). After a half mile there is a traffic circle-- go toward Mokule'ia under the bridge. After 3 miles, Dillingham ranch will be on the left across a polofield and sign. Do not enter. Again, there are absolutely no tourism related activities here. You will simply be turned away immediately. Do not disturb.
