Cockroach Cove

The access to this cove is at the scenic lookout parking lot for "Halona Blowhole" immediately after the one for the Lana'i Lookout.

Footing along the trail may be treacherous with sharp rocks and gravel, so caution is advised. Do not leave valuables in your car, especially if you are driving a tourist rental.

Note that although you may see local swimmers and divers from the rocky shore frequenting the cove's waters, we do not recommend entering the water, as water conditions here are capricious and are often very dangerous!

1. After passing Hanauma Bay, the second scenic lookout turnoff (pictured here) provides the access to Cockroach Cove.
2. The scenic lookout parking lot: Do not leave valuables in your vehicle, especially if you are renting a car.

3. One of the paths down to the cove begins just behind the guardrail at the entrance to the turnoff.
