Ala Wai Canal: Lost Virtual Tour

Ala Wai Canal

The Ala Wai Canal serves as the drainage for the nearby valleys, and runs the entire length of Waikiki's mountain-side border. There are several bridges, at McCully Blvd., Kalakaua Ave., and Ala Moana Blvd.

Notes

Both locations are in walking distance of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, another Lost filming location, as well as the Hawaii Convention Center, which serves as the Sydney Airport.

If you are in Waikiki, both locations are walking distance. The 2x16 intersection is also close to the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, so if you are walking down Ala Moana Blvd., there is a pedestrian access at the end of the canal that leads directly to Ala Wai Blvd.-- the first intersection will be the 2x16 intersection with Lipeepee St.

Episode 2x05 ... and Found	*Lost Virtual Tour*
Jin follows orange, and finds love from an unexpected direction.	The Kalakaua Ave. bridge over the canal.

Episode 2x16 The Whole Truth
Note the no-honking sign replacement-- unknown if the sign was digital composited or accomplished via the use of a physical prop.	The Hawaii Convention Center, Lost's Sydney Airport location, is partially visible at right, across the canal.
The doctor confronts Sun, who is walking her dog. Note the non-Korean-looking locals at rear right, presumably pedestrians or local residents curious about the Lost filming on their street. Also note the reflection of the no-honking sign on the car, as well as the addition of a red postal box in place of a yield sign, and the replacement of the 25 mph sign.
	The scene is at the intersection of Ala Wai Blvd. and Lipeepee St., the final intsersection before Ala Wai Blvd dead-ends at the end of the canal at the Ala Moana Blvd. overpass adjacent to the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, another filming locaiton.
