We've posted our final batch of set photos from
Kos Hummer Tours. Again as a reminder, we have a strict
"no-spoiler" policy with such photos, which are always published
after the episode is broadcast, with no exceptions.
To the right is the Lost film crew, probably at work filming Eko's funeral in
Ep 3x06 I Do. This is ALSO the location of Jacob's shack, which we published one photo of a few weeks ago, but today we've added another side view of the set. We also have new photos of the tree the Monster smashed Eko into (right next to Jacob's shack!), the "mass grave" set from the Purge from the
Moli'i Gardens fishponds, as well as new images of the submarine and the set's fake rocks blocking Hurley's van ride. Finally we updated our
Judd Trail page, which is the hike in Nu'uanu that contains a ton of filming locations within 1 minute's walk from the road; our new updates on this short hike are from the latter part of Season 3.
Continue to read below for more set pics!

At left is the new side view for the set of Jacob's forest shack; at right is the photo we published in May. The trees that Locke and Ben hike past to get to the shack are in fact the same exact trees encircling the clearing where Eko's funeral was held in
Ep 3x06 I Do. How hard is this set to get to? It's in fact right by the road (Nu'uanu Pali Drive): Simply step from the road over the shin-high concrete barrier, and you're already there. Here's a photo of the tree that Smokey smashed Eko into, also of the trees in this same clearing:

See how close the road is? In the scene, the camera was pointed at the tree away from the road and into the forest. If you're visitng Hawaii, there's no excuse not to attempt this "jungle hike", aka the
Judd Trail. Actually, if you're willing to actually hike downhill
for less than 1 minute, you'll be in the middle of jungle sets by a stream, grove, and banyan from the older episodes:
1x14 Special (Tree near Walt),
1x15 Homecoming (fight with Ethan Rom),
2x15 Maternity Leave, and
3x05 The Cost of Living (Eko's vision of Emeka the warlord).

You'll also be in the middle of sets from the end of Season 3: Where young Ben first meets Richard Alpert (is this man ageless or what?) in
3x20 The Man Behind the Curtain, as well as two separate legs of Jack's trek with the survivors to the Radio tower in
3x22 and
3x23. The set above is the stream crossing which lies less than 1 minute's hike from the roadway. Obviously the trail marker was removed for the filming! See our updated
Judd Trail page for these and all other matches. And before we move on, here's a 360 degree VR of this location:
The mass grave was located in the Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet on the windward side of the island, also known as
Moli'i Gardens, or the fishpond of Kualoa Ranch. We've added some set photos from
Kos Tours, of which here are two:

Note the foliage next to the pit, which you can see behind Ben in his closeups from this scene as he holds the smoking gun. This pit is within a stone's throw of the traditional Hawaiian fishpond, which served as both Jin's father's fishing village, as well as the DHARMA submarine pier. Here's one of our photos of the free-floating sub, taken on a
Kos Hummer Tour.

Also on the property a short drive down some dirt paths, is the structure used to film the interior of Jin's father's home. In some scenes you can see the bamboo thatched doorway.
Kos Tours took some photos of the exterior and interior. The revelation is that it's also the same structure filmed for Eko's Nigerian drug deal in
2x10 The 23rd Psalm.

Finally we take you back to Ka'a'awa Valley, aka Kualoa Valley, for updated photos of the party of the valley where Ben gassed his father, and from where Hurley began his van ride downhill toward some dangerous-looking boulders in his way. If you read our main
"Ka'a'awa Valley - van launch point" page, you will also see a new photo comparison showing that the boulders were fake foam props placed there by the film crew.

Thanks again to our partner Kos Hummer Tours for providing these set photos. If you find yourself in Hawaii and you'd like to visit any of these locations, please give them a holler. Since the Kualoa Ranch locations (Fishpond and dock, mass grave, Jin's father's home, DHARMA van launch point) are all on private property, you won't be able to see them on your own. (The Nuuanu Judd Trail however, is open to the public.) As a reminder, we adhere to a strict
"No Spoiler" policy, and always wait until the airing of the episode before publishing location photos.
