Walter Murray Gibson Building

This historic structure was the former home of the Honolulu Police Department. In Lost, it again becomes a police office. Both the interior and exterior were filmed for Lost.

This location is immediately across the street from Murphy's Bar & Grill, O'Toole's Irish Pub, and the Merchant St. Bldg., and down the street from another Merchant St. location and the old City Bank.

Notes

This building was completed in 1931, and is in the Mediterranean style. It replaced an older police station structure built in 1886. The building was formerly known as the Old District Court Building, and was renamed the Walter Murray Gibson building in 1989.

Note: police station scenes later on in Season Six were shot at Hawaii Film Studio, due to the building be occupied when they filmed later episodes later on in the year.
