Omega Station

This decomissioned U.S. Coast Guard facility is along the path to a once-popular but now-closed hike known as "Haiku Stairs" or "Stairway to Heaven". Flashlights are a must for the interior. Closed-toe shoes are also highly recommended due to sharp litter inside.

Trail access is currently closed.
No trespassing.

Notes

When the trailhead is open, proceed down the trail. As with any trailhead, do not leave valuables in your vehicle. At the first fork with the dumpster, you may take either fork since both meet at the Omega Station. The right fork is somewhat shorter and less steep. The left fork provides a nice view of the highway underside. If you take the left fork, there is another fork where the path goes straight, with a spur to the left making a U-turn-- go straight here.
